Density Meters

HomeProducts › Density meters

Inline and process density meters that report liquid density, and the concentration it implies, in real time. Pick by how you need to measure: a tuning fork probe for continuous inline density and concentration, with more types being added to this line. Each card links to the full product page; our application engineers configure the wetted material and connection for your fluid.

FAQ

What is a density meter?

A density meter measures the mass per unit volume of a liquid, usually in g/cc or kg/m³. In process plants it is most often used to read the concentration of a known mixture, since concentration follows directly from density.

How does an inline density meter measure concentration?

For a known two-component fluid, density and concentration are linked, so once that relationship is set the meter can output percent by weight, Brix, Baume, or a custom concentration scale directly from the density reading.

Which density meter is right for my process?

For continuous inline density and concentration, a tuning fork density meter is the usual choice. If you also need mass flow, a Coriolis meter measures flow and density together. Send us the fluid and the range and we will recommend the fit.
