Oil & Gas Instrumentation

Oil and gas operations span wellheads, separation, pipelines, terminals, and refining. Measurement must handle high pressures, wide temperatures, classified hazardous areas, and fiscal accuracy for custody transfer. Instranova supplies flow, level, pressure, and temperature instruments rated for hazardous-area service and built for the accuracy these duties demand.

Flow

Custody transfer and process flow for liquids and gas.

Level

Tanks, separators, and pressurized vessels.

Pressure

Wellhead, pipeline, and process pressure.

Temperature

Process and pipeline temperature.

Materials and safety

Oil and gas service demands hazardous-area certification. Intrinsically safe (Ex ia) and flameproof (Ex d) versions are available; wetted parts are 316L or higher alloys for sour and high-pressure service; and custody-transfer points use the highest accuracy classes. Confirm the certification, pressure rating, and material for your service at the time of order.

Application examples

Measuring instruments are used across the value chain:

  • Wellheads and manifolds: pressure and temperature
  • Separators and scrubbers: level, pressure, and flow
  • Custody transfer and allocation: flow with the tightest accuracy, by Coriolis or ultrasonic
  • Pipelines and pump or compressor stations: flow, pressure, and temperature
  • Storage tanks and terminals: level and temperature
